Final Essay

Do you often hear people claim they have “another side” meaning they are not their true self all the time? For instance, there are situations where I alternate my way of thinking and the way I speak depending on the people I am surrounded by. In other words, the way I am at home is vastly different than when I am at a party or at a local store. I honestly believe it is the result of the experiences I had from my childhood, the groups of people I socialized with in my twenty’s, and basically conversing with parents who are older than myself. To begin with, I will elucidate further the reason of my past experiences from my childhood.

From my childhood, there were occasions where I wanted to express ideas in a way I felt comfortable and assumed were in a normal manner. Unfortunately, the reactions I received were not what I expected. For example, when I was a child, I would speak to classmates and attempt to become their friend, but for reasons I cannot explain, it would not result in that manner. As it turned out, I needed to behave and think a certain way to be considered a friend. Moreover, I could not discuss several ideas and I would be interested in various incompatible activities. Eventually, I developed this “other me” to please other children to become friends. It was a bit challenging at first, but soon after it was effortless and a bit amusing. Although this occurred throughout my childhood, it also appears to transpire in adulthood as well.

During my twenty’s, I began to socialize frequently and went to gatherings where I met plenty of people with different views and opinions. Meeting others with distinctive ideas was enthralling since I assumed I could connect with people and be myself around them. While they would discuss their ideas, I was open-minded and respected their differences, but when I would respond to the contrary, they would convince to agree with their opinions and caused me to feel guilty of mentioning it in the first place. There was no understanding of the argument and it became useless to continue to discuss on the matter so I would become the “other me” to avoid confrontation and move toward to a similar topic we would be interested in. With this intention, I sensed it was reasonable to become my other self to be compassionate rather than being indifferent. From time to time, resembling situations would persist to take place in numerous gatherings throughout my twenty’s and in the same way with older parents in my hometown.

Becoming a parent at a young age can cause awkward situations with parents who had children at an older age. Obviously, the way we raise our children is incomparable and ultimately what I figured out is the manner we behave is dissimilar too. In one instance, I know a mother who is ten years older than me with children younger than my children. We would discuss about our children’s behavior and how we dealt with it, so in this case she would mention her disciplinary efforts and I would mention my version of discipline. After hearing my form of punishment, she would presume it was not sufficient and encouraged me to be stricter. Furthermore, she mentioned since I was younger, I should be aware of the consequences if I did not follow her advice. Once again, to avoid another dispute which would lead to absolutely nowhere, the “other me” stepped in and nodded in agreement.

All things considered, the “other me” is an outlet I created from my experiences in my childhood to connect with others and develop friendships, to avert arguments with various people in my twenty’s which had no intention to comprehend, and lastly prevented misunderstandings with other parents by where I live. In a way, the “other me” is a version of myself combined with alternative perceptions customized for unique circumstances. Whether to concur with another person or be intrigued in discussions, it all depends on the situation. This is for certain, there is another side of yourself and depending where and who you are with, the “other you” reveals itself.

Do you prefer Mostaccioli than any other pasta? Then you will appreciate this version of Mostaccioli. There are various ways to make Mostaccioli, however, the instructions for this pasta will be simple to follow. You will require these few items: You will need one medium saucepan, one mixing bowl (whichever size), one medium frying pan, one giant lasagna pan (13 1/2 in X 9 5/8 in X 2 3/4 in), and one stock pot. The next few items are sea salt, ground black pepper, margarine, one box (16 Oz.) of Barilla penne pasta, 1 clove of garlic, 1/4 onion, 1 lbs 90% lean sirloin ground beef, one jar (24 Oz.) traditional pasta sauce, and one package (8 Oz.) of Sargento mozzarella cheese. It will approximately be about fifty-five minutes to accomplish these instructions are completed accurately. Now that the items are organized and available to commence, begin with cooking the pasta and preparing the sirloin ground beef.

First, you must fill the stock pot halfway with water, second add one teaspoon of sea salt and then set the heat on high. Once it begins to boil, reduce the heat to medium, then carefully add the penne pasta, cook it for ten to eleven minutes and stir it occasionally, which is extremely important otherwise it will stick to the pot. While the pasta is cooking, you can mince the onion and the garlic or cut them into miniature pieces. Be advised the odor might be strong, so attempt to have a window ajar if you are sensitive to smells. As soon as the step of mincing the onion and the garlic is performed, set it aside and prepare the sirloin ground beef. Without delay, place the ground beef in the mixing bowl, add one teaspoon of sea salt, and one teaspoon of pepper. Next, mix them together with your fingertips until it is fully blended with the ingredients. After preparing the ground beef, the following step is to cook it on the frying pan.

While the pasta continues to boil, bring the frying pan on the stove top and turn on to medium heat and sprinkle two teaspoons of margarine. Next, slowly add the onion and garlic and shuffle it in a circular motion until it is lightly brown. Please remember to stir the pasta while waiting for the onion and garlic to brown. Once the onion and garlic appear light brown, gradually put the ground beef in the frying pan and delicately stir it for about one minute. As soon as the ground beef is fully fused with the onion and garlic, have it simmer on medium/low heat for six to seven minutes. During this time, you can preheat your oven at 350 degrees. Then proceed to stir the ground beef around until there is no pink in sight. When it is absolutely cooked, remove the heat and set it on the other stove top. Finally, monitor the pasta to verify it is ready. If the pasta is not ready, allow it to boil for five more minutes to be certain it is tender. If the pasta is ready, drain it entirely with a strainer and then position it in the middle of the sink. After you have completed the previous steps, it is time to cook the sauce, combine all the ingredients and eventually bake it.

Begin by placing the medium saucepan on medium/high heat and then pour the sauce in the saucepan right away. After that, stir it consistently until it boils, then when it initiates to boil, turn off the heat and cautiously pour it on the ground beef in the frying pan. Soon after the previous step is concluded, switch on the heat to the lowest setting and stir it altogether for five minutes. After it is finished and mixed thoroughly, you will shut off the heat and set it aside. Now, put the pasta in the lasagna pan first and then pour the ground beef with the sauce on top and mix it altogether. Immediately after you intermingle the pasta with the ground beef, disperse the mozzarella cheese over it. Once the cheese is spread over completely, place the pasta in the oven on the first rack and then set the timer for twelve minutes or until the cheese is softened to your preference. Now, you can finally savor the appetizing Mostaccioli.

As shown above, this version of Mostaccioli is straightforward than other styles of this typical pasta. Estimated time is about one hour to prep and produce, but it is affordable and savory. Important key points to keep in mind; always remembering to stir the pasta occasionally while mincing the onion and the garlic moreover, never forget to adjust the heat settings, otherwise it will overcook the pasta and you might burn the ground beef as well. Also, you can choose your favorite brand of cheese for the topping and your own pasta sauce. It will function regardless and you will still have the distinctive taste of Mostaccioli.

My expectations for this class was learning new techniques to write professionally, doing various projects with writing in different forms, and then taking numerous exams about the lessons that we learned each week. My main concern was that I wasn’t going to be able to understand the homework assignments and lectures in the short amount of time. I imagined having this intense pressure since it was only a few weeks, so I assumed we would be doing more work in less time.

My reaction when I arrived in class was shocked!!! I couldn’t believe it was a small classroom, which I definitely prefer instead of a huge classroom. I enjoyed the way the lessons were taught in a timely manner and with a lot of enthusiasm. The style in which the teacher connected other subjects to English was fascinating to witness and I learned additional material than I ever expected. The assignments were understandable and I didn’t feel any tremendous pressure at all. I was very hopeful to do the work properly and efficiently learn writing in English so I can improve my writing skills for my future.

My expectations were clearly met. I did learn different forms of writing that I can use in my future profession and techniques to organize my thoughts in my essays which was my weakness in my writing. Although we didn’t have exams or quizzes to see if I understood the lessons, I think it was refreshing not having to take a test or a quiz for material that we worked on a whole week. It surprised me that there was no pressure to get the homework done fast and I can actually see the improvements in my blog feed from when I first started taking the class to the end. I am surprised my readability is in a higher range from when I started and I can say that I am almost there to maintain the number of sentences and grade level for my challenges. Now, I know the formula to be within the great writers and I will continue to use these forms of writings for my profession as a writer. I really don’t think I would have done anything differently. The teacher taught us what he knew would be important to know whereas other teachers might not have the chance to teach the same ideas to their classes. The teacher’s amazing ability to connect with the student and to welcome any participation in the lesson while providing accurate references to study for writing challenges. By far, the best college class I ever experienced!!

Writing Challenge 012

Graduating from high school was an unforgettable event in my life and it nearly didn’t occur. I still remember the day as if it happened recently; it was pleasantly sunny, I was nervous and excited at the same time, and then I arrived at the school ready to graduate. Before my graduation, my high school experiences were not similar to those of my peers. In fact, one of the causes which led to my graduation was transferring to another high school as a result of the problems I encountered at my previous high school. The other reason was the influence of my high school counselor who persuaded me to graduate for prominent career opportunities and to become independent. Last, I began to work at a call center during my senior year and assumed it would be an exceptional career path to consider once I received my diploma. If I had not made the decision to transfer to another high school, or taken my counselor’s advice, and started working in my senior year, I probably would not have graduated from high school.

Since I made terrible choices during my sophomore and junior year, it affected my grades dramatically to the point of failing the majority of my classes. Eventually, I wanted to change my habits and at least attempt to graduate with my peers, so I chose to transfer to Fenton High school to avoid distractions and concentrate on school. Once I arrived at Fenton High School, I met with a wonderful counselor named Ms. Conner and she had on this red suit and she had the biggest smile. Ms. Conner asked to speak with me and asked a few questions about my past and what were my goals in life. After answering her questions, she elucidated the importance of obtaining a diploma and the opportunities it would create for employment with a company. Ms. Conner advised me to work towards becoming independent by engaging in an area where I can gain experience for a possible position in a company. With this in mind, I applied in a company which was hiring for customer service representatives. Afterwards, I was hired and began training for phone order entry and then led to becoming a customer service representative. In the next few months, I improved my organizational skills, social skills, and computer skills and I frequently used these skills in my homework and complicated projects. In the end, I became a customer service representative of the company and passed all my classes on schedule to graduate with my fellow seniors. Finally, it was graduation day and the last day of my high school career.

Soon after graduation, my life changed what felt like a split second. I went from being a high school graduate to an expecting mother all in a matter of weeks. Even though I had a stable job, I decided to resign since my husband was going to college and work at the same time. After he received his associates degree in automotive technology, I was able to return to work in the same company where I gained my experience in high school. To summarize, I worked for a couple of months, then became a stay-at-home mother for a few years, and went back to work at various locations with similar tasks involved until I officially became a stay at home parent. All things considered, I am grateful for having the opportunity to work in any location because of my high school diploma and the experience I acquired in the first company I was employed in. Up to the present time, I finally decided to take a chance and go back to school. As soon as I figured out what I wanted to do professionally, I decided to achieve my degree in English. Within a couple of weeks, I met with a counselor and discussed my requirements to earn my degree. She recommended to attain a certificate for the time being since it would be flexible in my schedule until I feel I could attend more classes and obtain my degree in English. Shortly after, I enrolled in my first college course in English which would not have been possible if I had not graduated all those years ago.

Overall, the conflicting events leading to my graduation might not have been the ultimate plan I had in mind to graduate high school, but in a way it was meant to be. By making the choice to be transferred to an exceptional school, then meeting my counselor Ms. Conner, who gave me vital advice to seek employment to get an idea of what I would like to be, which resulted in working full time in a call center of a distributing company, thus opened doors to my future jobs. After graduation, I started a family and worked in a small amount of companies where I acquired additional experience and was offered a higher pay rate because of my high school diploma and expertise. Finally, I was able to attend college and expand my knowledge for writing in English to eventually becoming a professional writer.

Writing Challenge 011

Social media has not only become a platform to connect with classmates and co-workers, but it became a reliable connection to families as well. For example, I use social media for communicating with my family in Mexico who I haven’t seen in numerous of years and with relatives I haven’t had the opportunity to meet in person. This useful tool of communication does have positive and negative effects on family relationships. To emphasize, it can be possible to meet with distant relatives and share memorable events with them, there are more opportunities to keep in contact by messaging and calling through Facebook Messenger, and it can affect the relationship negatively by posting images and small clips claiming to be offensive towards an opinion or lifestyle. I will begin by describing my experience meeting with relatives and sharing eventful times with them.

For instance, I have relatives on my mom’s side of the family who reside in California and as a result of social media, I had met them for the first time since I was born. My father’s side of the family also contacted me through social media and I was able to share significant times with all of them. Likewise, they were able to introduce me to their family and post photos of their accomplishments, birthdays, and how they celebrated holidays. As you can imagine, there were countless of photos and videos displaying experiences between us. We were developing a closeness owing to social media giving us an opportunity to observe how we are doing and what we endure even though we live apart. Speaking of keeping in contact, the next effect social media has on the relation is creating an easier manner to contact one another by messaging and calling for free through Facebook Messenger.

Early in the 90’s, the only way to communicate with my relatives in Mexico was by purchasing a time card for international calls. These cards were confusing and frustrating to use at times and the amount of minutes in the card would not match the minutes you actually used in the call. It would cost five to ten dollars at a time and during those years, it was not simple to buy a card every day let alone every week. Therefore, with the help of social media being free for all to use, they were able to call me and message me for free anytime they were available. It is an exceptional advantage in which families are grateful for and it aids to keep those in long distance feel close and know they are not alone. This makes the family stronger when they go through terrible times and need consoling during a time of need. Yet, there is an unfavorable effect as well and it involves relatives posting disagreeable opinions and replying in a hostile manner towards other relatives.

We all have particular views and interests in our lives, but with family it matters a great deal. In this case, I witnessed a situation where a relative would post about children being disruptive and she wrote” thank goodness I have no children,” and soon after, another relative responded with “maybe you should keep your thoughts to yourself.” It went back and forth for a few minutes and finally they decided to remove each other from their social media. At family gatherings, they would avoid one another and began spreading rumors in the family to separate them. This would continue for an elongated period of time. With one comment, it disintegrated a bond in the family due to social media providing the gateway to this spiraling effect.

Given these points, the effects of social media that has on the relationship between families is both pleasing and displeasing. The possibility to meet with relatives for the first time in years and partake unforgettable moments in our lives, in addition to calling and messaging all relatives at no cost is favorable. Though, it has separated families in some circumstances because one relative posted a comment or a video that another member of the family considered offensive. Social media seems to be more positive than negative, but we can all agree that social media does have a vital part between families, friends, and in the workplace.

What causes situations involving discrimination and racism to occur? To demonstrate, years ago when I was in elementary school, I was discriminated on a few occasions because of a simple reason that I could not speak English. With this in mind, I developed three speculations which were derived from others experiences including my own. One idea is due to the personal experiences with a specific ethnic group that were negative. Second, social media could cause people to discriminate others by what they read in posts or see in videos with captions relating to the ethnicity of the individual committing the act. Lastly, various people using religion as an excuse to judge others by appearance and having beliefs that are not accepted in the bible or other sources. First, I will explain how sharing negative experiences can cause discrimination towards others.

Surprisingly, I have heard several experiences from all groups of people which were about discrimination. On one occasion, a random person scolded the other to learn to speak English or leave the country. One of my experiences was similar to that, I was in school and a girl in my class had said to me “you can’t speak Spanish here, you can only speak English or I will tell the teacher.” Unfortunately, it resembles countless of incidents with the same concept. Other experiences were about physical altercations with a specific ethnic group. This usually starts with an insult about the other’s appearance and after, it escalates into a fight. In this case, to prove who is superior and for their pride of where they come from. As a result, the resentment for each other produces prejudice and continued dislike for the oppose ethnic group. Furthermore, this can correlate with the influence of social media contributing pessimistic opinions towards a person or a group of people.

Living in a technological world where people are constantly on their phones, they are able to view a new update or a photo of current events. To illustrate, spreading photos of a crime being committed by a person of a specific ethnic group. A new update status on how “corrupted” police officers are abusing an innocent bystander because he or she was a different color of skin or different sexual orientation. I have witnessed in my own social media random people distributing this information to direct antagonism when there is no verification on the real cause of the situation. Just as easily it is to flaunt hatred toward the distinct person or a group of people and claim it is the right thing to do. Social media has sufficient power to prompt others to feel malevolence against those who have different appearances or different beliefs. Beliefs from various religions also have a relation to discrimination as well.

Regrettably, religion became an extensive reason to judge others by appearance, discriminate others who disagree with certain beliefs, and attempts to prevent certain behaviors/thoughts to be accepted. At abundant of situations, religion was used as a reference to discriminate people by their appearance, such as tattoos were considered a “sin in the bible” and the person was labeled a sinner. As a person who was raised in a Catholic family, I have also been discriminated by people who are not known as Catholics. For instance, asking me questions about the bible and why I choose to follow a religion that does not respect our Creator by worshiping Saints as well. Nonetheless, the common root of the problem is either religion allows certain behaviors or thoughts to be accepted or not. I certainly believe each to their own beliefs and to respect it, however, I don’t agree with convincing others their religion or beliefs as not valid and should follow one particular path.

As you can presume, the continued discrimination and racism can be the effect of sharing experiences, which involve physical altercations and ordering others to deny their culture by another ethnic group. The impact social media has over viewers to spread enmity to diverse races, preference of romantic partners, and the choice between being a female or male. Furthermore, referencing from the bible or other sources of religion to discriminate by how the person looks, what they choose to believe in, and what behaviors/thoughts are allowed in the society. It is like a tremendous circle that will never cease because it is a part of a balance in human nature: if there is hate, there is also love.

Writing Challenge 009

Would I rather stay in Glendale Heights or move to St. Charles? To clarify, I currently live in Glendale Heights, but I have visited St. Charles a few times and now I am contemplating whether to move or to stay. Both towns are exceptional for raising a family, but I also noticed the difference between the two cities. The first item to compare are the houses that both cities offer. Another thing to consider is the distance of the local stores to nearby neighborhoods. Apart from the houses and stores, the school district is also an important factor in comparison to the two towns. Commencing with the houses in Glendale Heights in contrast to the homes of St. Charles.

This brings me to the houses that are in Glendale Heights. The houses are commodious, but they include petite closets and narrow driveways. Nevertheless, they are also worth less than 300,000, which is affordable for all types of families. What I admire about Glendale Heights is the distance of the local stores such as Jewel and Target. For instance, they are located in the middle of the city which is convenient for families that are constantly occupied. Meanwhile, I can also determine the quality of schools that are in Glendale Heights. The town has two separate districts and consists of two elementary schools, one junior high, and the assigned high school. The elementary schools are scored average, while the junior high and high school are highly rated schools. All schools are close to my house and provide reliable transportation.

Throughout the current year, I visited St. Charles on a few occasions and I can honestly say it is a captivating town. In particular, the houses are massive compared to the homes in Glendale Heights and provide capacious rooms, vast closets, and expanded driveways. However, the houses are worth more than 300,000 in comparison to the affordable properties in Glendale Heights. Another key point is the distance to the shopping centers are actually further away from the neighborhoods as opposed to the stores in Glendale Heights which are adjoining to residences. Unfortunately, this conflicts with saving time to head to the grocery stores on a busy schedule. Conversely, St. Charles is a city that has a high-rated school district and it is number 2 in the Best School Districts in Kane County. In contrast to Glendale Heights, it consists various top rated elementary schools, junior high schools, and two high schools to choose from.

Despite the fact that St. Charles and Glendale Heights are ideal locations to live in, they individually have unique qualities. Even though, St. Charles has colossal properties where families can be comfortable, Glendale Heights offers inexpensive and accommodating properties. On the other hand, the stores are closer in distance to drive in Glendale Heights which is different from driving a few miles more to arrive at a Target or Walmart in St. Charles. Considering to stay or move is a conflicting task, but the idea of being able to choose schools and experience a new town is intriguing. Yet, being close to the stores and living in a home that is economical and nearby a school is vastly gratifying.

Writing Challenge 008

When I was a high school student, I had assumed attending a college class was going to be incomparable to a high school classroom. Since I became a student of the College of DuPage, I have concluded both high school classes and college classes are actually similar. In high school and in college, a teacher or instructor is appointed to the well-known subject English. Both college and high school classes acquire demanding homework and tests. The obvious similarity between a high school class and a college class is participating in the discussion. Beginning with describing the likeness of my English high school teacher to my college English instructor.

In College and in high school, I was assigned an English teacher/instructor who focused on the various forms of writing while confabulating the history of where it originally comes from. My English high school teacher offered me helpful resources through our local library and websites in the same way my college professor demonstrated during class. I also recall my high school English teacher teaching us how these forms of writing were typically used in real life scenarios like my college professor is showing my classmates and I. Comparing these two classes demonstrate they don’t differ in a drastic way. I can explicate further similarities between high school and college classes by inferring the homework and tests it involves.

Unfortunately, homework and tests maintain an immense part of college as well in high school. Equally they take time to be completed during the day and assignments are expected to be done in the same night. Just like in an ordinary high school class, there are deadlines for assignments and tests in college as well. If the assignment is not done by the due date, the consequence is the same which is a lower grade or an incomplete status. Grades are weighed by completing the homework on time and passing the tests. In addition to discussing these comparable characteristics of college and high school classes, the next comparison is participating in a high school and a college class.

Is there a correlation between participating in a college class and a high school class? In college and in high school, teachers will continue to select any student to answer whether seated in the front or the back of the classroom. Another fact is college as well as high school are alike in allowing students to express their opinions in classroom discussions. Finally, it is evident that participation is vital in a high school classroom likewise in a college classroom. To declare, there is a likeness to participating in college and in high school classrooms.

There is an apparent resemblance between a high school and college classroom. Homework and tests are given and expected to be done in a certain time frame. English a requirement class to graduate or earn a degree since it is a vastly important subject and the teachers will offer the valid resources to guide you. Whether you like to participate or not, it is part of either high school and college, so be equipped to participate in discussions and express your ideas in the classroom. This is how the experiences in a high school classroom and a college classroom are alike.

Writing Challenge 007

I was raised In a small town known as Addison and I suppose it has a massive affect on the person I became today. A suitable example is being extremely punctual to every aspect in my everyday life. Also, I was capable to socialize with different families in which I developed an open-minded towards various people. Eventually, I established a habit of writing down all sorts of topics since I had frequent experiences with my friends and my brother. I am a person who became strives to be punctual, fascinated with writing, and to be noticeably organized. Punctuality was the first characteristic to form in my childhood, which is currently a part of my personality.

For instance, I relished outside activities and watching cartoons all night without concerning for the time. However, when I turned 11 my parents decided to change the rules. No more playing outside from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and no more staying awake late at night. I had to awaken early, make my own lunch, and walk to school at exactly 7:30 a.m. to arrive on time. If I was late to school or arriving home after school, my punishment was severe. I became accustomed to it and as a result of this new routine, I learned to be punctual to school, work, and appointments. I had become a person who is constantly on time, especially now that I have to take my children to school and to their appointments. This brings me to having an open-mind on diverse families and their manner to raise their children.

I like to assume I am an open-minded person since my neighborhood had distinct families. You see, my friends would come over and tell me about their families and I noticed they were different than my family. Some parents were divorced, some parents were younger than my parents, and some of my friends had parents who were stricter than my parents. It was similar to convince someone that those television families were fake and how reality was complicated. I became aware of why parents didn’t want their children to become the same way. I took some of that wisdom to my present life with my own children and perceiving a new approach to raising a family. In addition, finding a way to express their emotions in a healthy manner as I found my admiration for writing.

My love for writing started when I was seven. I would read so many books and I loved how my imagination went crazy. Then it had me thinking, what if I write my own book about my life? There was this cartoon that every child in my neighborhood watched named Doug. He was an adolescent in middle school who would write about his experience every day and discussed about it. I thought I should do that too, so I got a notebook and started to write every day. I enjoyed it so much and I would write two to three pages a day! Even my own teachers from elementary school to high school would compliment on my writing. Whether it was a bad day or the best day ever, I would write every detail and just let out my feelings. Now that I am an adult, I still have this urge to write about anything which brings me back to a time when I was younger. I would love to be able to create a story that would have the same impact on another person as it occurred to me.

So when I am at home, I am this clean and organized mom of three or at least I try my best to be. I still believe that everyone makes mistakes and shouldn’t feel pressured to be the right all the time because no one is perfect. My fascination for writing came from being at a place that gave me good and bad experiences which I am able to share with my children now. I am proof that no matter how old you get, you still have that inner child telling you “hey remember if you do this, it will work out this way.” I have so much fun with my children now because of how I was raised in Addison and I hope it stays that way for a long time.

Writing Challenge 006

Would you consider Chicago a superlative city compared to others? Several people will mention the tasty food it offers, the beautiful buildings, and of course the enthralling museums. I have been to Chicago quite a few occasions and to be honest it is not pleasurable. Yes the food is appetizing at times, the buildings are stunning, and the museums have various exhibits to enjoy with family or friends. However, I will elucidate how these are not probable reasons to start planning a trip to the “windy city.”

Multiple residents might proclaim Chicago is incomparable since the food is distinctive, the views of the buildings are just breathtaking, and the museums are filled with numerous exhilarating exhibits!! Well, I have tried the food and it is not vastly exquisite. All the buildings I have glimpsed are not actually fascinating to gaze at. Lastly, the exhibits at the museums are not affordable. This might not change your mind entirely, but after reading this your opinion will differ. Starting with the different types of food that would be tempting to experience.

There are dozens of restaurants in Chicago from Italian cuisine to Chinese food, but these restaurants can be cramped. Be prepared to reserve your table a day before and not locating a parking spot nearby the restaurant. Traditional food such as pizza and hot dogs can cost twice as much just for the brand of the restaurant. After all the trouble of finding parking and overpaying for the entree displayed in a fancy way, the food is not delectable as it looks. Who would have thought it would be toilsome to plan a night out and enjoy a simple dinner? That’s regularly how Chicago is. Nevertheless, I will discuss about the fantastic buildings every Chicago fan seems to admire.

The thrilling part when arriving in Chicago are noticing the towering, gleaming, and immense buildings. I want to express those buildings are not easy to approach. Thanks to Chicago’s busy streets changing constantly, it is complicated to find an accurate path to it. Eventually to take a tour in the Willis Tower, plan to spend about twenty dollars a person, perhaps a little more. Don’t forget about the parking that will cost around twenty to thirty dollars an hour! So be satisfied driving next to it and being able to take a picture in front of the building. After observing the building and spending money to venture inside, the result is less money in your pocket and back to the erratic traffic. If you’re not convinced of Chicago being problematic, I saved the best for last. Welcome to Chicago’s exorbitant priced museums!

Considering going to a reasonably priced museum with your family or friends on a pleasantly sunny day? However, these museums charge admission and a little extra to append the more desirable exhibits. Only paying the general admission will provide the chance to look at some of the exhibits. To visit the impelling exhibits will be a little above your budget. You will probably be thirsty and hungry, so be prepared to spend more for a simple lunch. Remember, it is expected to pay for parking which is around twenty dollars for four hours and twenty five dollars after that. It is challenging to have fun in a museum that charges for everything and only to give diminutive time to view all the ones that were purchased. This applies to all museums in Chicago, not specific ones.

Could anyone believe Chicago is the best city in the world? Even though it offers plenty of fast food to try, always find a better location for a reduced price and closer parking. Those buildings are not going anywhere and will always be the same everyday. Also, there is a chance to able to visit these museums on their free days, unfortunately they will charge for their other exhibits and be required to pay for parking. I definitely recommend saving a great deal of money and search for inexpensive parking before coming to visit. Chicago is highly priced, complex, and ordinarily difficult to drive through.
